This is a story of a young sick child and the doctor that lived down the street.
The child’s seemingly innocuous repayments stuffed into a brown paper bag, changed and enriched the doctor’s entire life.

Chapter 1
A Young Doctor
Thomas Betterman MD. General Surgeon, Floor-2, Room-6
The Assistant Secretary to the Head Administrator, Ms. Julia Wright had just finished adding his name to the 1st floor directory next to the main elevators when the newest ‘Hope Children’s Hospital’ doctor entered the hospital lobby.
“Good morning. Julia,” the young doctor said.
“Well good morning, Doctor Thomas.” She replied, “I’ve just finished adding your name.”
“I see! Thank you very much. It looks perfect” the new doctor added.
Thomas pushed the button and proceeded up to his new office. He thought about Julia as he went up. She was an excellent secretary and he would need someone like her to run his new office. He would also need an assistant to help with the new patients.
