What to think?
If you’ve never been to Venezuela, and you can’t find it on the map of the world, how could you have a solid opinion on the subject, on either side of the discussion? If someone can convince you that the actions taken this week are either good or bad, without knowledge or facts, then you are just a pawn to be used in a fight that you don’t understand. You are a useful idiot.
Don’t be a useless idiot! Don’t protest or develop strong feeling for unknown reasons. Don’t be for or against these things just because President Trump ordered the strike.
I won’t feel strongly about this situation until time plays out and the merits or the pitfalls of the decision are easily visible. Remember, smart people are deciding and implementing these plans and we are not privy to much of the information yet.
Let the court system play out, listen to the public opinions of smart and important people abroad, and listen with critical thinking placing value on the implications and motives of all the replies.
